Born into a polygamous family (the 8th child in her mother's line and 16th in her father's) to two parents who were illiterate and villagers, Immaculate faced an immense number of life challenges from day one. However, early on she became a Christian and, whilst the obstacles kept coming, Jesus became the power that encouraged her to push for a better life. Along the way, Dr. Stuart Creed and his family came into her life in a miraculous way and her world totally changed.
Growing up in a setting where poverty, illness and lack of access to materials for basic needs were prevalent, Immaculate witnessed first hand the struggles faced by orphans, needy children and the elderly. From these personal experiences she was inspired to start AGASUVU but even more so after observing so many people in her Kisoro community experiencing similar situations. Her empathy for those suffering combined with a strong desire to make a tangible difference in their lives led her to establishing this charity helped by Dr. Stuart Creed and his family and friends.
Immaculate's vision for AGASUVU is rooted in the belief that everyone deserves a chance for a better life like she had, regardless of their age and circumstances. Her dedication to this cause is testament to her commitment to social change and deep compassion for others. Her leadership has been instrumental in driving the organisation's efforts to make a sustainable impact in the lives of those less fortunate in Kisoro.
Having been introduced to Immaculate by God's coincidence whilst both buying Bibles in a bookshop, Stuart and his wife Julia felt God's calling to bring her to the UK. With prayers answered for a visa (after it was initially rejected because of her poverty), Immaculate spent a wonderful year with Dr. Stuart Creed and his family in 2008-2009. It was here that Habert (Chairman of AGASUVU and Immaculate's now husband) became known to them as the man who clearly loved Immaculate, phoning her from afar! Their wedding followed as did their shared passion with the Creed family to begin a school for the most disadvantaged children in Kisoro.
Ever since, as the UK director of AGASUVU, Stuart has worked hard to raise awareness and support in the UK and has visited annually to rejoice in the developments made.
Stuart now works as the CEO of Living Word International - a UK charity set up to support the school and other charitable works across Africa.
Having grown up in Kisoro, this community has always had a special place in Habert's heart. And in his position now as a minister in the Church of Uganda his desire to advance the development of this district has only grown stronger, having intimately observed (and tried to alleviate) the deprivation and suffering that is unfortunately all around. Working behind the scenes to keep AGASUVU strong, Habert particularly believes in the power of education to transform lives, encouraging children that their difficult beginnings should never define them.
Moses joined our team in 2013 and has been a blessing from the word go, facilitating the communication between our sponsors and our community in Kisoro and monitoring the development of the Amazing Grace children. His passion for our cause plus his two Bachelor degrees (Social Work and Administration, and Secondary Education), multiple Ugandan Certificates of Education and previous experience with Compassion has made him a force to be reckoned with in AGASUVU, fighting for those in our community who cannot fight for themselves.

"We've been partnering with Amazing Grace School since 2010 after hearing about it from Stuart and Julia Creed (whose children attended our school). It has been our joy to fund various projects over the years, from solar panels to new flushing toilets, thanks to the generous gifts given by Heritage parents. Our children have also been in constant communication with the children at Amazing Grace, exchanging letters and photographs, forging relationships despite the distance!"

"The 3SSC company are so happy to have recently supported AGASUVU, funding administrative technological resources that we hope will allow this incredible organisation to be known throughout Uganda and beyond!"
(Matthew Punshon, Executive Director)
