A true Amazing Grace welcome!

Two wonderful couples from the UK came to visit Amazing Grace Pre and Primary School last week and we made sure to give them a true Ugandan welcome! Whilst the Brits believed that the children had all been given the day off, in actual fact the whole school were hidden in our new playground ready to jump out and give them a big surprise! Each class took turns performing songs, dances and even comedy sketches that left our visitors in stitches! The children absolutely adored meeting Sarah, Mike, Sally and Matthew and hope that they will come again!

44th Tarehe Sita Anniversary Celebrations

On Monday, alongside 15 other Kisoro schools, all of our Amazing Grace pupils marched to the public pitch to honour Pan-African unity and the people's sacrifice in the fight for liberation and a Ugandan democracy. There was music, dancing, speeches, choir performances and so much more!

Our new UK family!

We have recently welcomed three wonderful teaching assistants from Cambridge, UK helping in all classrooms & subjects. They have been a real blessing bonding with the children, as well as sharing different ideas and methods to teaching and playing. Our volunteers have explored the sights of Kisoro, from volcanic craters and stunning gorges, to bustling markets and lively churches. Having been delighted with Kisoro's welcoming inhabitants and beautiful nature, they are now singing its praises to the people of Cambridgeshire, and hope to return with many new faces.

Amazing School, Amazing Results

In 2024 we had 43 candidates in P7 taking the national Primary Leaving examinations. 37 came in 1st grade and 6 came in 2nd grade (with none in 3rd and 4th grades). This placed Amazing Grace in fourth position in the district of 157 primary schools.
